The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Patient Access Supervisor. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Not for Profit Hospital Corporation (NFPHC), United Medical Center (UMC). The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring all patient billing, posting, and collection activities and ensuring maximum coordination of activities and flow of information within Patient Accounts.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) years of progressive experience in healthcare patient access, monitoring patient billing, and collection activities. At least one (1) year of supervisory experience to include planning and overseeing the work of lower-level staff; previous experience working in a healthcare setting; and knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payer insurance verification processes.
