We actively seek individuals who are enthusiastic for continuous learning, collaboration, and a desire for working with state-of-the-art technologies in the AI domain.The OpportunityEmbark on an exciting journey as a Data Scientist II with Patra, joining a team of highly skilled professionals at the forefront of InsurTech innovation. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving advancements within the insurance space, collaborating seamlessly across product, engineering, and operational teams. Your responsibilities will include the development, training, and maintenance of machine learning models, playing a key role in executing Patra’s artificial intelligence strategies.Responsibilities• * Understand Patra’s business, technology and infrastructure landscape, and strategy for new AI tools and technology adoption.• Be hands-on with ideation, design, and development of AI solutions.• Contributes to user stories, process flows, design documentation, test plans, and other relevant artifacts facilitating end-to-end solution delivery.• Work with large, structured and unstructured datasets to develop ML/NLP pipelines.• Design and fine tune language models (e.g., BERT) to understand and build predictions or summaries from unstructured data.• Run machine learning tests and experiments.• Contributes to and supports the execution of Artificial Intelligence roadmap to deliver new analytic solutions at scale across the organization.• Communicates with technical teams to identify and triage performance and operation issues that arise with automation implementations.• Communicates with product team to understand business requirements.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related field.• 2-5 years of experience working as a data scientist.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Extensive math and computer skills, with a deep understanding of probability, statistics, and algorithms.• Excellent time management and organizational skills.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Proficient in machine learning concepts (e.g., supervised / unsupervised learning)• Proficient with SQL, data wrangling, and data analytics• Familiarity with LLMs (e.g., Llama, Gemini, GPT-4, BERT, BART, etc…)• Familiarity with Python.• Innovative mind with a passion for continuous learning.Working Conditions• Work from home• Minimum internet speed of 25 mbps download and 6 mbps upload; Directly connected to modem; No Satellite Work Standards• Interpersonal Skills:• Demonstrates the ability to work well with Patra colleagues and clients and with external organizations• Promotes Culture of Respect & Safety:• Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety and respect• Communicates concerns• Uses and promotes safe respectful behaviors based on training and lessons learnedSubject to and expected to comply with all applicable Patra Corp policies and proceduresPatra Corporation is an equal opportunity employer committed to celebrating diversity and creating a safe and inclusive environment for all employees.
