Child Development Specialist

We are hiring a Child Development Specialist/Manager for our Infant Development Program!

Looking for a flexible, challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with infants, toddlers and their families? We are currently hiring motivated, enthusiastic, and caring individuals to join our team. Our Infant Development Program (IDP) serves infants with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Patterns is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct developmental assessments and create individual learning programs for each child
  • Implement family-centered, relationship-driven, play-based programs individually designed for participant children and their families
  • Directly deliver individual and group learning experiences to assist each participant in obtaining his or her IFSP goal(s) for which the program is responsible
  • provide parent training to support learning and generalization of skills Maintain accurate client/administrative records
  • Clear communication with all team members and parents/clients
  • Drive between sites
  • Attendance at staff meetings, supervisions, and trainings
  • Compliance to all related company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations
  • Manage direct staff, support hiring and training.
  • Support intake and scheduling process with operations team members
  • Write assessment reports and conduct reassessments every six months or as requested by funding source
  • Coordinate with service coordinators to provide updates, support families, request additional services as needed.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with speech and language pathologists and occupational therapists.
  • A masters degree (preferred)
  • bachelor's degree in early childhood development, psychology or related field and a minimum of 18 months of experience in the management of a human services delivery system
  • Clinical and professional competencies
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or other developmentally delaying disorders ·
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and valid automobile insurance·
  • Must pass TB test
