Risk & Compliance Intern - Automation Projects

PayMongo builds the most advanced online payments infrastructure in SE Asia, starting in the Philippines. Over the next few years, we will build a broad suite of products that aims to lower the barriers and remove all the complexities in payments. As a Risk & Compliance Intern, you will work closely with the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in ensuring that the risk management & compliance programs are in place and implemented properly.

• Help perform the risk management process from risk identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk monitoring of all the potential risks that might negatively impact the company’s financial position.
• Assist in the rollout and implementation of Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and IT Risk Assessment (ITRA).
• Help in the execution of risk management and compliance management processes.

• Assist in the automation projects as a spin-off for the RegTech objective by 2025 and compliance-as-a-service (CaaS) business use case for a possible revenue stream.
• Perform research about the latest trends in risk management and compliance that can be used in the enhancement of the existing risk management and compliance program.
• Assist in compliance functions such as compliance advisory, awareness materials, and compliance testing.
• Help provide support and training to employees to create a risk-aware culture.

• You are taking up Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other related courses
• You have strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual skills, and data savvy.
• You are knowledgeable in Python and SQL and is excited with analysis and interpretation of data.
• You have good communication skills and able to speak in front of groups, with the ability to lead meetings and take command of discussions
• You possess the ability to work and establish working relationships with different teams
• You are well-versed in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), knowledge in using statistical softwares is an advantage 
• You have the ability to prioritize assignments and effectively handle multiple tasks and activities on a daily basis
