To complement our rapid growth, we are actively looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our world class Finance and Accounting organization. In this challenging role, you will be responsible for managing day to day and strategic payroll activities for US and Canadian employees using UltiPro. You will generate monthly/quarterly reports, and other misc. reports/analyses pertaining to payroll and benefits. This is a key position which reports to the Senior Global Payroll Manager.
Location: San Ramon Headquarters
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
- Own the preparation and processing of US and Canadian payroll using UltiPro, including validation of all inputs, generation of W-2s, T4s, and RL-1s.
- Maintain non-exempt payroll time reporting system in Ultipro
- Prepare schedules to support workers compensation audits, 401K audits and other surveys/reports requiring employee payroll data
- Reconcile earnings and tax data per pay period or monthly, for quarter end analysis
- Maintain payroll metrics
- Update contribution reports for 401k and ESPP for reconciliation
- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, and taxable or non-taxable wages
- Organize and send information to Ultipro for tax inquires
- Respond to SSA or other federal, state, and local agencies
- Process all incoming employee garnishment activity including Federal and State Tax Levies, Child Support Orders, Bankruptcies, and Court Ordered Garnishments.
- Generate and balance payroll journal entries and work directly with Finance Team for analysis
- Maintain employee PTO reporting system globally for salary employees, reconcile and include such data in each payroll
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state and local payroll tax laws
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures and SOX controls for payroll
- Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
- Assist with external audits by providing supporting records and documentation
- Provide formal and ad-hoc analysis of payroll, benefits, headcount, and stock activity
- Other accounting/finance responsibilities as needed
Key Requirements:
- UltiPro (Ultimate Software) experience is highly preferred
- Experience with processing all types of stock transactions, and an understanding of the tax implications of each type (i.e. NQSO, ISO, RSU, ESPP)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred; CPP designation a plus
- 3+ years' payroll administration experience in a public company preferred
- Deep understanding of applicable Federal, State, and local payroll and related tax laws, regulations, and statutes
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, SOX documentation and control testing experience a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required in Excel, Word and Outlook including experience with Excel formulas, V-Lookups, and Pivot Tables.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Excellent organization skills; ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines
- Excellent verbal & written communication and listening skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Confidence and ability to work independently with little supervision

The US base salary range for this role is below.
$59,200—$110,900 USD
