Brief Summary of Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, performs moderately complex accounting clerical tasks to support payroll and other accounting functions.
Performs online data processing and coordination of activities within the University or with other institutions, Payroll/Personnel Offices and the Central Payroll Bureau.
Inputs data records and verifies details of financial transactions in automated systems and excel worksheets.
Reviews and processes financial documents, such as, timesheets data sheets and overtime reports, ensuring accuracy of mathematical computations and completeness.

Requested Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One year accounting/payroll
clerical experience

Other Preferences for Consideration

The desired candidate should be skilled in performing basic mathematical computations; in the use of calculators. Strong verbal communication skills. Good data entry skills. Must be well-organized and able to prioritize tasks.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
