Payroll Clerk PRN
As a PRN Payroll Clerk, will be to provide support to the payroll department on a biweekly basis. You will assist with various payroll tasks and ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payments.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate and assisting in processing payroll for assigned hospitals on a biweekly basis.
- Auditing reports of time management, employee payments, benefits.
- Processing all the above tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
- Facilitates final pay computation and processing.
- Ensures accuracy of payroll registers, withholding taxes, etc.
- Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Educational / Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll preferred.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Work require spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
