Front End Software Engineer

You will be responsible for maintaining, improving and developing features for our web portal, as well as contributing to all aspects of the product development and release cycle. Our organizational structure is pretty flat so you’ll be given a fair amount of latitude with, and responsibility for, your own time.The kind of stuff you'll be doing:• Work side-by-side with the Product team to best understand the needs of our customers• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes and user flows into high-quality code• Devoting most of your time front end services (React.js). Additional time will be spent working on backend services (Scala, Java)• Develop new user-facing features using React.js in an Agile environment process• Work on the progressive redesign and on the maintenance of existing solutions• Assist with building estimates and review pull requests• Contribute to improve our engineering standards and processes to bring excellence to the Front end teamThe kind of experience you'll need:• Experience building user interfaces with modern tools like Tract, Javascript EC6, Sass/CSS, HTML5, Redux, JSX, Webpack, and Bootstrap/MaterialUI• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• The ability to clearly articulate questions and create design specifications• Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)• 3+ years experience in a front-end development roleThe extra stuff that would be nice:• Knowledge of React Unit testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, react-testing-library, Selenium)• Knowledge of Lift and JSP• Back-end experience in Java and ScalaSalary Range: 105k-120kBenefits:• Medical Insurance -- Choose from 3 Medical Plans (PPO, HMO, and High-Deductible)• Dental and Vision Insurance• Company paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD)• 401K with generous company match; 2-year vesting• Flexible Spending Account (FSA)• Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)• Tuition Reimbursement• Generous PTO
