PCBA Test Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented PCBA Test Technician to join our team. As a PCBA Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tests and inspections on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to ensure their functionality, quality, and compliance with specifications. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during testing. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in electronics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct functional testing of PCBA using established test procedures and equipment.
  • Perform detailed inspections and measurements to ensure PCBAs meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and identify root causes, working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, failures, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve test procedures and methodologies.
  • Assist in the development of test fixtures and test setups as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new testing techniques, and emerging technologies relevant to PCBA testing.

Qualifications:


  • Associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Test Technician or similar role, with a focus on PCBA testing.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets.
  • Experience with test software and programming languages (e.g., LabVIEW, Python) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and quality control processes related to PCBA testing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform precise measurements and inspections.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with ESD precautions and safe handling of electronic components.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel)
