The founders are serial entrepreneurs (ex-Rubrik, AWS, YC, and IIT Alumni) who have built world class teams over the last decade. Our founders have helped Rubrik scale from <5M from a single product line to $600M across multiple product lines. We’ve worked at Rubrik, AWS, ran a YC-backed observability startup, and have built and launched products like AWS S3, DynamoDB and made open source contributions in CockroachDB. We’re a really unique team - we are our own customers, and lived through these pain points for 8+ years - both as a buyer of observability at a high scale company for 4.5 years (Rubrik) and as a company builder selling to the same buyer (4+ years at YC startup).
Frontend Software Engineers in Oodle work directly with founders, backend software engineers and designers using Figma, TypeScript, GraphQL, Material and React. We've a fantastic designer already on board who will be working closely with you.
As a Founding Frontend Engineer on the team, you will be get to:
Disrupt a large existing market with delightful user experiences and deep technical insights. You’ll be on the ground floor of creating a product like Snowflake, Rubrik, DataBricks, Confluent..
Architect efficient and reusable frontend systems that drive complex web applications
Wear multiple hats - rapid experimentation to find customer needs, talking to customers to customers, eliminating ambiguity, and focusing/deciding on the things that matter. Your voice matters!
Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
Identify performance bottlenecks and help scale the system
Set the foundation for the company culture and help grow the team

Must Haves:

Appetite for bringing consumer grade simplicity to enterprise observability products.
3+ years of relevant work experience: JavaScript, React JS, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6. Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
Strong sense of web design.
Nice to Haves:
Ability to operate as a generalist – frontend, designer, full-stack engineer on a as needed basis. Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: LLMs, and AI.
Experience developing user-facing software for observability products.
