Job DescriptionRole: Senior Product DesignerCompany: PearsonLocation: US, RemoteThe Role:We're looking for a Senior Product Designer with a strong UX and visual design background to champion the strategic thinking and to launch several new features for higher education and professional learners. You'll partner closely with content, product, and engineering teams and be responsible for improving the current experience, but also defining the North Star vision. You will be challenged in an organization that values vision, execution, and persistence. You will take ownership of our product by solving complex problems in simple, elegant ways. Product Designers at Pearson are embedded within product teams that are deeply collaborative, and each member is directly responsible for the team's success.What You'll Do:• Define and create the user experience for specific areas of our products• Collaborate with product and engineering teams throughout the product development process• Understand and advocate of user needs• Define key metrics to track success and business impact• Maintain clear team alignment around goals and priorities• Approach an open-ended problem space with vigor and clarity• Think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem• Guide user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency• Be data-driven and iteratively improve the experience• Design for AI-driven teaching and learning experiencesAbout You:• 7+ years product design experience with an online portfolio of relevant design work• Skilled in design at the detail and systems level• Confident communicator who can clearly articulate your process, approach, and rationale to others• Experience working in a collaborative team comprised of other designers, content strategists, product managers, and developers• Experience designing for AI-driven experiences including LLMs• Prior experience defining and leading user research efforts• Awareness of design trends across web and mobile devices• Experience working with design systems• Experience working in an Agile, lean UX, and mobile first• Understanding the relationship of visual, interaction, and content disciplines• Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and/or Adobe Creative Suite• Bachelor's or master's degree in design and/or HCI related field• Design for conversational interfaces (preferred)• Experience with educational content (preferred)About Us:Pearson is a design-centric product company whose mission is to have a direct relationship with millions of lifelong learners. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:The minimum full-time salary range is between $120k- $150k.This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.
