The Weather Network is not only Canada’s most recognized brand for weather information but also a pioneer in leveraging data for targeted advertising solutions. As the digital advertising ecosystem experiences a continuing transformation with programmatic advertising at the forefront, we require an enterprising Product Manager to spearhead our Demand Side Platform (Engagefront) initiatives. As the Product Manager for our DSP, you will collaborate with a team of product experts and technologists dedicated to enhancing our programmatic advertising capabilities and developing cutting-edge B2B data products for a diverse set of corporate clients in the advertising ecosystem.


Please note that despite being a remote role, it requires you to be located in and eligible to work in Canada as well as provide core Eastern Standard Time support.


WHAT IS THE DAY TO DAY LOOK LIKE
  • Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for our DSP, ensuring alignment with market needs and corporate goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Design, Sales, and Data Science, to ideate and develop new features and functionalities for the DSP that enhance user experience and performance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor DSPs, market trends, and client feedback to inform product development and positioning.
  • Gather and synthesize user feedback from existing DSP clients to prioritize feature development and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Assess and prioritize a pipeline of innovative product ideas, focusing on those that offer significant growth and revenue potential within the programmatic advertising space.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to develop compelling narratives and use cases that demonstrate the value proposition of our DSP to various industries.
  • Work with the engineering team on detailed product requirements and execution plans to clearly communicate the vision and specifications for new features and enhancements.
  • Provide strategic input to the Product leadership team for annual planning, budgeting, and prioritization of business opportunities within the DSP product line.
  • Train and enable our sales teams on the product’s capabilities.


WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of product management experience, with a strong preference for experience in the AdTech industry, specifically managing DSPs or related programmatic advertising platforms.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products, with a deep understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem and RTB (Real-Time Bidding) protocols.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading roadmap strategy and implementation
  • Experience with feature delivery and the associated tradeoffs

  • Have outstanding communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex product features to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Are a collaborative team player who communicates well and can inspire and galvanize colleagues across various functions to achieve common product goals.
  • Bilingualism in English and French or Spanish is highly desirable, particularly for engaging with a diverse, international client base.
