We work across the firm's client portfolio, developing creative solutions and campaign concepts that have the power to shape perspectives and inspire action on the issues that matter most.


Summary of Position:

The Brand Strategy team at Penta is seeking a visionary Senior Art Director to lead the development of visually compelling and strategically driven creative solutions. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Art Director will be responsible for overseeing the conceptualization, design, and execution of creative projects across various platforms. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on creative and a strategic thinker who excels in developing innovative campaign concepts that elevate brand narratives while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Senior Art Director will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of our clients, driving creative excellence, and mentoring junior creatives.


Responsibilities:

- Lead the conceptualization and execution of effective creative solutions that meet client objectives, in partnership with the Creative Director and Managing Director. 

- Collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, and strategists to create cohesive, multi-dimensional campaigns that engage target audiences and drive business results that consider the following tactics and more: TV, radio, OOH, digital, paid social, events and activations, content sponsorships, podcasts. 

- These creative concepts will often break down highly complex industries and situations to resonate with niche, high-value audiences (including policymakers, investors, employees, etc.)

- Oversee the design process from ideation to final execution, ensuring all creative outputs meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and innovative deliverables are on time and within budget.

- Provide art direction for photoshoots, video productions, and other visual assets, ensuring that all creative elements align with brand guidelines and client expectations.

- Maintain a deep understanding of design trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the team remains at the forefront of the industry.

- Review and refine creative work, offering constructive feedback and ensuring alignment with project goals and brand guidelines.

- Mentor and guide other creatives, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages professional growth and creativity.

- Provide support for conceptualizing business development proposals.

- Present creative concepts and deliverables to clients, effectively communicating the strategic and creative rationale behind the work.

- Stay informed of market trends and competitors' visual approaches, offering insights to enhance client strategies and brand positioning.

- Partner with Creative Operations team members to manage external vendors, such as photographers, illustrators, and production companies, to ensure the successful execution of projects.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

- 7+ years of professional experience in art direction, design, and visual storytelling, preferably within an agency or creative environment.

- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of visually compelling work across multiple media platforms.

- Experience in art directing photoshoots, video shoots, and other production processes.

- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and design principles.

- Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects).

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and concepts to clients and team members.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

- Experience mentoring and leading design teams, with a commitment to fostering creativity and collaboration.

- Experience working with external vendors and managing the production process for creative projects.

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position will be $100,000-$125,000 annually, depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as it relates to the position.

Location:

This position is for US-based personnel and is fully remote.
