In this role, you will:

Lead the continued development and growth of our National People & Change Practice. Key activities associated with this position include practice leadership (strategy development and execution); integrated National and Operating Group-focused thought leadership and marketing campaigns; team management/development/positioning; supporting business development efforts, while also providing part-time client advisory support/delivery oversight to select engagements. This role will require at least 10 years of People & Change and overall management consulting experience, and up to 50% travel (but generally less in our current virtual environment).

Practice Leadership

  • Lead all aspects of our National People & Change practice.
  • Partner with the People & Change Local Service Offering Leads and the National People & Change Capability Leads to define strategic direction for the National practice – leveraging industry and market trends (e.g., services strategy, marketing strategy, delivery capability)
  • Manage the financial health of the National People & Change practice (e.g., profitability, utilization, margin).
  • Create alignment, synergies, and collaboration between National People & Change and the People & Change at the Operating Group levels.
  • Oversee and drive the management and development of the National People & Change service offerings, methodologies, and tools across the company – leveraging the People & Change Capability Leads and People & Change Local Service Offering Leads.

Thought Leadership & Marketing

  • Serve as an established subject matter expert and thought leader both internally and externally by authoring and contributing to the development of thought leadership materials, participating in speaking events, and publishing points of view.
  • Provide leadership to People & Change Capability Leads as they establish themselves as subject matter experts and thought leaders both internally and externally as they author and contribute to the development of thought leadership materials, participating in speaking events and publishing points of view
  • Lead the development and execution of an integrated National and Operating Group-focused People & Change marketing plan with a focus on thought leadership, whitepapers, blogs, events, and practice offerings.

Staffing/Team Management/Development

  • Contribute to People & Change career development best practices and standards to be leveraged across the company.
  • Oversee resource assignment, management, and retention for the National People & Change practice.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition to source National People & Change talent, as well as ensure an effective People & Change recruiting process is in place at the National level.
  • When needed, work with Local Service Offering Leads and leadership to help ensure they have the required People & Change talent for their client engagements.
  • Facilitate goal setting, performance reviews, and service delivery check-ins with National People & Change team members.

Business Development

  • Oversee and drive the management and development of the People & Change sales collateral across the company – leveraging the People & Change Capability Leads, People & Change Local Service Offering Leads, Centric leaders, and Marketing.
  • Partner with Centric leaders to drive integrated People & Change solutions across all service offerings and Operating Groups.
  • Lead and assist with business development opportunities requiring People & Change expertise, such as replying to Response for Proposals (RFPs), meeting with prospective clients, presenting solutions to prospective clients, providing business cases and client referrals, writing statements of work, etc.
  • Coach and mentor People & Change team members on business development acumen.

Client Engagement & Delivery

  • Provide oversight to ensure successful delivery of selected People & Change client engagements, including functioning in a subject matter expert (SME) role or a quality excellence role when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and assistance to Capability Leads and Local Service Offering Leads as they educate Centric and client team members on People & Change best practices, trends, methodologies, and tools.
  • Design and facilitate client workshops to help ensure successful delivery of People & Change solutions, when necessary.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships across Centric Operating Groups to foster collaboration and ensure successful delivery of expected outcomes.

Who you are:

  • Creating unmatched experiences, for both clients and employees, is what we do. You should revel in doing the unexpected and extraordinary for others.
  • You should have broad knowledge of People & Change methodologies, solutions, best practices, and project delivery, including a minimum of 10 years providing these services in different settings and preferably in one or more consulting roles.
  • Experience developing and leading a Consulting practice and consulting industry is strongly preferred. That said, you will also be considered if you have a strong, diverse industry background.
  • You thrive at building relationships. Partnerships and collaboration are how we operate internally and with our clients so you should enjoy working across all levels of an organization.
  • We love creativity. Help us create new solutions, improve existing processes, and solve problems innovatively.
  • Initiative is important. We don’t handhold – you should be comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment. That said, collaboration is equally important. Our People & Change team and everyone at Centric will give you an amazing support system. You will lean on them daily.
  • Related, you need to have the spirit of an educator and thus get excited about mentoring and sharing your knowledge.
  • We are growing and looking for someone who is willing to grow and adapt with us. You will need to be flexible and able to adjust your role and style as things change.
  • A passion for quality is needed. You should care about how the practice is perceived, quality of execution and the work we are doing.
  • Enjoys solving complex problems. Clients don’t come to us when the problem is easy. You should like to overcome barriers and take on the hard stuff.
  • Do you like to travel? Good, because we need someone who likes being on the road. Travel will vary but expect up to 50% travel at times.
