CohnReznick currently has an exciting career opportunity for a People & Culture Specialist in our DC Metro offices: Bethesda, MD & Tysons, VA.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Create an extraordinary employee experience for our DC Metro team members by serving as a trusted business partner to ensure HR strategies are aligned to support the business strategies and objectives
  • Establish thorough understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with client leadership teams, and create close partnerships across P&C, and Centers of Excellence (COEs)
  • Build strong relationships with clients to develop a deep understanding of the business and increase awareness and understanding of the employee experience
  • Have a strong passion and grasp of employee engagement within the DC Metro Offices.
  • Bring forth to the Centers of Expertise (COEs) the voice of the DC Metro team members and partner with the COEs to bring solutions
  • Provide end-to-end onboarding and offboarding support to include facilitating New Employee Orientation and conducting exit interviews
  • Assist P&C Manager and Talent Acquisition in driving and implementing the recruiting strategy in the business; participate in interviews; identify interviewing team in DC Metro.
  • Assist P&C Manager and Talent Management COE on various programs and initiatives and implement for your respective offices.
  • Assist P&C Manager along with Resource Management on all areas of workforce planning, including the maintenance of the client group’s hiring plan in Adaptive.
  • Assist with administering our compensation program, under guidance from the Total Rewards COE, obtaining appropriate review and approvals, while meeting firm deadlines under guidance of P&C Manager
  • Assist with managing and coordinating the annual performance review cycle, and all areas related to performance management under the guidance of the P&C Manager.
  • The People & Culture Specialist will provide coaching and guidance regarding HR in areas such as policy and procedure while developing trusting relationships with leadership and employees within their assigned client groups
  • Provide input on local wellbeing initiatives and help to coordinate local activities
  • Active participant and leader for office specific employee appreciation, employee morale, engagement, and firm initiatives
  • Involvement in day-to-day employee relations items, escalating complex items when appropriate to P&C Manager
  • Contribute to projects and process improvements as needed for the DC Metro offices
  • General P&C team administrative support including assistance with reporting, large orientation classes, department-wide meeting support, developing organizational charts, policy compliance, and other general P&C support.
  • Assist P&C Manager with annual P&C budget for DC Metro Offices and respective client group.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field required, PHR/SHRM-CP highly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of HR generalist experience with progressive experience; professional services industry experience preferred;
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with leadership and employees
  • Ability to effectively manage change, being flexible and adaptable as required by the business
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability handle and document sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business acumen or ability to quickly acquire business knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills to identify business trends and drive initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • HRCI PHR or SHRM-CP designation
  • HR experience in professional services industry, public accounting
  • Excel, UKGPro, Oleeo, Cornerstone, and RedCarpet systems experience
  • Experience in Adaptive budgeting software
