BillionToOne's prenatal product, UNITY™ is the first and only prenatal screen that can directly assess an unborn baby's risk for common and severe recessive gene disorders such as cystic fibrosis and sickle cell, as well as chromosomal abnormalities, fetal sex, and fetal antigens from a single tube of blood from the pregnant mother without paternal testing. BillionToOne's liquid biopsy oncology products, Northstar Select™ and Northstar Response™, aim to revolutionize how late stage cancers are treated, specifically based on a patient's genetic makeup, and monitored for minute changes in the tumor's DNA load which can assess treatment efficacy, and reduce unwanted toxicity, lower treatment costs, and maximize desired outcomes.

BillionToOne is looking for a People Operations Manager to join our growing People Ops team and take ownership of our onboarding, offboarding processes, while managing our benefits, immigration, and performance review processes. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a high paced environment and is excited with improving systems and processes. The People Operations Manager is a hybrid role (onsite 2-3 times/week) and reports to the Director of People Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an welcoming presence (onsite and and remote) for our rapidly growing team.
  • Own the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and contractors.
  • Management of benefits vendor to ensure smooth operations for our employees.
  • Partner with Director, People Operations to lead bi-annual performance management process
  • Partner with Payroll team to manage payroll processing
  • Lead company efforts to develop and maintain a collaborative, fun, and values-driven culture
  • Work closely with our Immigration attorneys to provide a high level of support to sponsored employees.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a HR Generalist or People Operations partner
  • Knowledgeable about benefits (medical, dental, 401k, vision, FSA/HSA) enrollment, eligibility, and terms
  • Experience implementing new hire onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple high-priority projects
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good judgment
  • Teamwork, flexibility and positive attitude
  • Scrappy get-it-done attitude
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Previous experience in start-up is highly desired

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid paternal leave etc.).

For this position, the base pay range is: $120,000-$160,000 per year.
