Reporting to: Senior People & Culture Manager

Location: Scale Space Building, 1st Floor, 58 Wood Lane, London W12 7RZ (hybrid working options available)


We've been pioneering embedded finance since 2007 and over the years, we've worked in partnership with banks, SaaS providers, payment processors, checkout providers, and even the UK government โ€“ providing all they need to offer easy and frictionless revenue-based finance solutions to their SME customers through our API-powered funding platform.

We are in a very exciting period of growth, both within the UK and internationally, with teams based in London, Nottingham, USA and Scandinavia. As we continue to grow we are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join us to reshape business finance.

Who are we?


Our People & Talent Team sit at the heart of the business; covering the full global people lifecycle and enabling the rapid growth of Liberis and our mission to build a phenomenal place to work for phenomenal talent.

We are on the lookout for a People Partner to support us on this journey. Are you an experienced HR business partner, skilled at understanding and interpreting stakeholder needs, and working with the broader People & Talent team to ensure we deliver against them, at pace, globally. If so, this could be the role for you!


Who are you?


This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is commercially savvy and wants to work closely with business stakeholders to develop pragmatic, pacey people solutions in a rapidly scaling FinTech business.

You will partner with our line management population to ensure that their needs are well understood and our People & Culture agenda delivers against them. You will help deploy and embed core people processes and solicit and share feedback to drive continuous improvement. You will support employee relations activity. You will also lead on or support defined projects within the global people plan.


You will be directly responsible for:

  • Business partnering our line management population
    • Ensuring the priorities and needs of their teams are understood and they inform broader our People plan and priorities โ€“ collating and communicating these back to the team in a prioritised and actionable manner
    • Keeping a close focus on our organisation design as we scale โ€“ collaborating with key stakeholders to continuously review and refine our structures to ensure they are fit for purpose and work is done, and decisions made, at the right level
    • Enabling core people processes to be embedded globally and actively soliciting and sharing stakeholder feedback with the team to ensure we optimise and refine our ways of working
  • Managing ER cases in collaboration with the business
  • Leading on and/or supporting a range of defined people projects to support delivery of the global People strategy and plan

We think you'll need


  • Experience of partnering line managers in a high growth, ambiguous business context
  • Commercial acumen โ€“ ability to speak the language of the business and ensure we provide fit for purpose, customer focused, people solutions that fit our organisational culture
  • Excellent listening skills to be able to understand and interpret business needs in order to inform people priorities and plans
  • A pragmatic approach; knowing when to push forward and when to step back and choose your battles
  • Experience in how to design an organisational structure that enables clear accountabilities and efficient ways of working
  • A broad knowledge of People & Talent activity to ensure the end-to-end lifecycle is effectively embedded across the business
  • Track record in effective management of employee relations cases
  • Project management skills โ€“ ability to develop and deliver against a plan (directly and through others)
  • You relish the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and deal confidently with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • You are an effective and confident communicator โ€“ with the ability to relay complex matters in a clear and concise way
  • You are able to work under pressure; effectively juggling multiple priorities and maintaining perspective
  • You are an effective team player โ€“ willing and able to support broader team activity
  • Ideally โ€“ global experience (global mindset essential)!
