Role Description
In this role, you will work closely with the People PMO and cross-functional teams across the People team and the business to drive key initiatives and affect change across the People team and Dropbox as a whole. Ideal candidates will be energized by working autonomously and with a level of ambiguity that often comes with the types of projects run through the People PMO
We are looking for someone with project management expertise and a consultative mindset in the People space with an aptitude to drive rigor, stay agile, and operate with a critical thinking lens. You will be creating plans for and executing on projects under a wide purview - from critical KTLO projects (e.g. designing and executing on People team offsites and All Hands) to strategic initiatives (e.g. project managing an M&A from a People team POV).
You must have the capacity to balance multiple priorities, thrive in ambiguity, leverage change management principles to influence internal partners, identify, articulate, and assess success metrics for the projects you manage, and possess excellent communication skills that can be tailored to cross-functional audiences at every level. Your key stakeholders will include our HR leadership team and leaders across our G&A function, so you must have demonstrated success of operating independently with senior audiences.
This is a senior project manager role, and the ideal candidate has deep expertise in project management with breadth in other skills - data analysis, communications, presenting insights, and facilitating complex, cross-functional meetings - and the ability to flex into these areas based on project need. Deep expertise in one or more areas of HR would also be an asset to this role. We are looking for someone with the demonstrated ability to pick up and apply new information quickly about new HR spaces and create playbooks with key learnings to apply to future projects.
Responsibilities
Build operational plans and work in partnership with People PMO Manager to execute on key strategic projects. This can include M&A, reimagining the People team through an AI lens, and the future of work
Seamlessly execute on project management through all stages of a project including through all stages - initial intake, scoping, developing project plans, executing against project plans, aligning and coordinating cross-functional collaborators, mitigating risk, communicating to stakeholders, and project closeout including retro and playbook updates
Cultivate strong peer-level relationships with Dropboxers across the People organization and in partnership with key internal stakeholders (Corporate Development, OCEO, Comms, Legal)
Advise senior-level stakeholders across the People team and key cross-functional teams on project direction, mitigating risk, and problem solving
Prepare presentations and dashboards as needed for executive-level audiences
Communicate clearly and succinctly to influence project outcomes leveraging verbal and written communication channels
Requirements
8+ years experience in a human resources, management consulting, strategy, or operations role
Excellent project management skills with a proactive, consultative, and agile mindset
Ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their operational implications
Ability to shift from high-level strategic thinking to stepping in and helping to drive implementation alongside functional teams
Ability to excel in ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape
Analytical, comfortable with large data sets, and able to extract business insights from analysis
Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with highly visible, high impact cross-functional projects
Experience in Asana and other project management software a plus
Expertise in one or more areas of HR (e.g. L&OD, DEI, HR Ops) a plus

Through our assessment process, we will identify your level that ties to compensation based on your experience and technical expertise along with the scope of the role.
For candidates hired in San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $148,800 - $175,000 - $201,300 if you are assessed at the IC4 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC5 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $176,000 - $207,000 - $238,100.
For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $133,900 - $157,500 - $181,100 if you are assessed at the IC4 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC5 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $158,400 - $186,300 - $214,200.
For candidates hired in all other US locations, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $119,000 - $140,000 - $161,000 if you are assessed at the IC4 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC5 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $140,800 - $165,600 - $190,400.
Range(s) is subject to change. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
