Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Production Manufacturer Worker for our client in Woodland, WA Job Summary: This position is responsible for setting up, testing, adjusting manufacturing machinery and completing production of roofing materials. This is an evaluation hire opportunity for the successful candidate. Duties & Responsibilities: •Measuring Material and Pattern Cutting •Sheet Metal work including shearing, punching, bending, grinding, chop saw, soldering, band saw, etc.•Plastic Membrane work including cutting, forming, and welding•Assisting with shipping and receiving as necessary•Safety Awareness of machinery and workplace•Physical Checks of Production & Quality ControlKnowledge of:•Light industry production/fabrication work and related equipment.•Raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Skills & Abilities:•Mechanically inclined with ability to read a tape measure•Can operate hand tools such as a grinder, drill, skill saw, and other common small tools•Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.•Performing routine maintenance•Controlling operations of equipment or systems.•Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.•Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.•Open communicator and encourages others to communicate openly.Ability to:•Be actively engaged while on the production floor and performing various tasks•Deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels•Handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesRequired Qualifications:•High School Diploma or GED required•Hold a valid driver’s license•Certified forklift operator preferred•Shop labor experience preferredWorking Conditions:•The position will be working primarily indoors in a shop environment, but also requires the employee to be in the outdoors on a regular basis, thus encountering varying weather conditions and temperatures.•The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be higher in the outdoors.
