Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Full Stack Developer with experience in designing and developing solutions within the cloud to support our classified customer in Washington, DC. Peraton has been supporting our classified customer for 20 years and has a history of supporting building some of the most important & technically advanced applications.

 

The ideal candidate shall possess experience with the following technologies: Java, Angular, and  AWS.

 

Technology is constantly evolving, and our adversaries are exceeding law enforcement’s ability to keep pace in the cyber space. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism.

 

Our unique program delivers advanced, technical infrastructure support for our customer and its relative nodes over the world. The team provides Software and System Engineering, Software and System Development and Operations (DevOps) services, Data Science, Big Data and Entity Resolution Engineering services advanced data discovery, analytics, exploitation, and visualization capabilities through application development and tools integration.

 

The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for but not limited to: 

• Be a developer for a new application and work on the front line of the research, development, design, and deployment of a new application.
• Responsible for designing, testing, coding, and developing solutions to meet customer needs; ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance, upgrade, and testing; documenting the application, service, and environment as a reference for future operations and maintenance, including version and platform upgrades.
• Develop in an AWS cloud environment using cutting edge technology.
• Responsible for the development of an application that is uses Java (JEE Development) Angular, JavaScript/Application Development, PostgreSQL, Sprintboot and Tomcat.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on Java Development
• Strong JavaScript/Ajax Application Development
• Strong experience with Microservices architecture
• Strong cloud/ AWS experience (Console, RDS, S3, EBS, AMIs, IaaS); Preferable AWS Certified Developer certification
• Proficiency in using the Spring Cloud framework
• Experience with Spring Security, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Familiarity with JWT (JSON Web Token) for secure communication
• Expertise in using Spring Data JPA for efficient data access and manipulation.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance tuning
• Ability to write complex SQL queries
• Strong understanding of Git for version control and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth, JWT, SAML
• Experience in writing unit tests and integration tests
• Experience with NEST-JS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience with Agile methodology experience
• Must have tangible development experience with Angular development. One (1) FTEFull Stack Engineer must have experience with Angular version 13 or higher, and the other one (1) FTE Full Stack Engineer must have experience with Angular version 17 or higher
• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA
• TS/SCI clearance

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
