ResponsibilitiesPeraton’s Defense Mission and Health Solutions (DM&HS) Sector is seeking an IT Asset Management Lead to support Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Office of Information and Technology (OIT), programs.The program provides IT support services to assist in achieving VA’s mission of serving Veterans and the public by delivering effective support and monitoring services within the VA. The program provides onsite and remote support to IT customers across VA and special program offices, including direct support of over 300,000 VA employees and contractors who use government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. They provide support staff across 50+ CONUS and OCONUS locations. The IT Asset Management Lead will manage the operations of the IT asset and inventory management function. They will manage the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the hardware and software.What You will Do:• Oversee the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Support across the VA sites nationally to include monitoring asset deployment, customer transitions, and decommissioning of aged devices.• Lead periodic inventory audits for both software and hardware to provide accountability and recommendations discrepancies for IT assets and capture detail software and hardware assets (conditions, locations, and other critical attributes) in asset inventory reporting• Oversee the staging/configuration and decommissioning/disposal of software and hardware• Prepare spare and replacement components based on SLAs, inventory, demand, planned obsolescence, and anticipated failures• Design and implement processes and procedures for Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs)• Document changes made to the asset management processes or tools, including justifications for the changes and impact assessments.• Oversee the team that conducts physical scans, manage turn-ins and decommissions of assets, and organize warehouse spaces.• Mange the processing of aged equipment, inventory of deployed equipment, removal of aged assets from the enterprise.• Engage with manufacturers for equipment support• Support infrastructure (e.g., network devices and circuits) and management and monitoring servers.QualificationsRequired:• 10 years of experience. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
