Position Overview

The Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) Consultant plays a critical role in helping organizations achieve strategic goals by managing projects and portfolios effectively. The PPM Consultant is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s project portfolio aligns with business objectives, delivers measurable value, and maximizes resource utilization. This role requires a basic understanding of project management principles, portfolio optimization, business requirement analysis, and change management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Business Requirement Analysis: Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements prioritization to ensure projects meet business needs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels to communicate project goals, milestones, and deliverables, addressing issues, risks, and changes effectively.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Create and present regular reports on project and portfolio performance, utilizing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management practices, integrating industry best practices and adapting to evolving business needs.

 

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering field
  • 3 years of work experience as an IT/ICT professional in roles such as a software developer, technical project manager, engineering lead or technical team lead
  • Expertise in gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Understanding of all project stages, from initiation to closure, including tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with PPM tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Planview, Clarity) and reporting/analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret project data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Excellent time management and negotiation skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and work independently
  • Ability to work well in both a team and individually
  • PMP, SCRUM, ITIL or ITSM certifications will be a strong plus
  • Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken Greek and English
