Technical Designer

Perry Ellis International is seeking a Technical Designer to support the management of the technical life for the brand(s) from conception to production delivery, ensuring alignment with design vision.

Skills

Experience in fitting garments for women's products
Ability to identify critical fit issues
Creating accurate technical spec packages
Knowledge in pattern making and garment engineering
General knowledge of product development and apparel production
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Collaborates with team members and business partners for design direction
Assists in developing specifications and garment construction methods
Conducts fit sessions to develop Brand aesthetic and silhouette
Solves technical issues related to fit and execution
Evaluates prototype samples for accuracy and quality
Maintains consistency of technical design processes
Ensures calendar milestone deliverables are met
Tracks workload deliverables and sample shipment deadlines
Builds 3D block library for the brand(s)
