Who we are looking for:   


We are looking for an innovative Senior Controls Engineer to join our team and lead the optimization of our manufacturing processes. You will have a strong background in industrial control systems and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex control solutions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing control strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced control systems for manufacturing processes, including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA system integration. 
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify process improvement opportunities and develop control strategies to address them. 
  • Analyze process data to optimize control parameters and improve system performance. 
  • Troubleshoot control system issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest control system technologies and industry best practices. 
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. 


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial control system design, specializing in chemical processing or metallurgy. 
  • Proficiency in experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley) and SCADA (Ignition) systems.  
  • Strong understanding of control theory principles, including adaptive and model predictive control strategies. 
  • Familiarity with process instrumentation and industrial communication protocols relevant to metal manufacturing and production 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. 
  • Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
