Our Photo Archivist Intern is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining systems to collect, preserve, and share analog and digital collections (pictures, books, etc.) This will be a summer internship based in Massachusetts...
This internship would be specifically focusing on a twofold project for the summer:
• Part one of the summer project would be to process large collection of InterSystems historical photos.
• Part two will be arranging photos into desired collections for easy access from staff.
Responsibilities
• Managing and performing tasks associated with the processing of analog and digital collections (photos and pictures).
• Managing, processes to ensure accurate collection of incoming analog and digital materials.
• Responsible for asset standards for file formats, crediting, tagging, and metadata.
• Assessing systems and processes to identify and recommend improvements based on the changing needs.
• Collaborate the Tech Services to monitor, maintain, and assess storage needs, access, and the backup of systems, databases and collections.
• Reorganization of our physical archive as well as confirming our inventories
