The Psychiatric Social Worker is a member of an interdisciplinary team who provides direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention and psychoeducation to members and/or family members. Majority of role entails direct patient care. Familiar with all aspects of psychopathology and recognize the appropriate and timely clinical treatment intervention needed. May work with specific age group as is determined by training and certificate. Assists the department leadership on various department functions including, but not limited to department performance improvement plan, development of care management programs and process, development of education plan and training of staff and performs clinical record audits. Works closely and in collaboration with Psychiatrist in developing programs related to mental health.
