Lab Services Technician - North Carolina

Piper Companies is searching for a Laboratory Services Technician to join a growing biotechnology organization specializing in genomics, single-cell and translational medicine research. The Laboratory Services Technician will support the genome amplification system by performing laboratory procedures related to NGS sequencing. This is a Monday - Friday, 2nd shift (1 PM - 9 PM) onsite opportunity in Raleigh, NC.Responsibilities of the Laboratory Services Technician:• Prepare sequencing libraries utilizing current products and solutions• Monitor assay performance and identify routes for optimization when necessary• Collaborate with manufacturing service providers and production staff to ensure needs are met• Use molecular biology lab equipment, measuring tools, pipettes, and chemicals• Conduct nucleic acid quantification assays, high throughput laboratory experiments and next generation sequencing systemsQualifications of the Laboratory Technician:• 1+ years of relevant assay experience• Experience working with pipettes and molecular biology techniques and equipment required• Motivation to grow and develop in a laboratory setting, and work in a team-environment• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Scientific disciplineCompensation of the Laboratory Technician:• $22/hr - 26/hr dependent on experience• Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid HolidaysKeywords:Lab, laboratory, lab tech, laboratory technician, genomics, next generation sequencing, pipet, molecular biology, genome, NGS, illumina, DNA, cell, cellular, single cell, flow cytometry, electrophoretic, assay, laboratory jobs, science, biotechnology, clinical research, biotechnology jobs, biotech jobs, raleigh, north carolina, onsite, hybrid
