CAD Design Engineer - Contract

About the Job

The Aeromechanical team at Pivotal is looking for a CAD Design Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting changes on drawings and 3D CAD per manufacturing engineers' feedback. This is a critical role in the development of our technology, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in bringing our eVTOLs to market.

• Create and update 3D models and drawings using CATIA V6
• Manage CAD release and create change actions using 3D Experience
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to implement feedback into CAD designs
• Ensure designs meet all relevant specifications and standards
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years experience in CAD modeling and drawing
• Proficiency in CATIA V6 for 3D modeling and drawings
• Experience with 3DExperience for CAD release and creating change actions
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles

• Experience releasing designs to different maturity levels using 3DX or other PLM software
• Previous experience in the aerospace or eVTOL industry
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Proactive and self-motivated
