Senior Data Engineer

Place Exchange is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work on scaling out an out-of-home digital ad exchange, capable of handling billions of transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software engineering, cloud-based solutions, mentoring, and strong analytical skills.

Skills

Full-stack software engineering
Python or Java or Node
Functional and unit testing
Experience with metrics and monitoring tools/frameworks
Architecture and development of business solutions
Mentoring and motivating junior developers
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Ship small to large features independently
Pair with other senior engineers on key initiatives
Mentor fellow software engineers
Play a key role in shaping team's roadmap and technical strategy

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
