Place Showroom, a leading wholesale apparel showroom, is hiring an experienced Merchandising Associate/Showroom Coordinator for our Los Angeles showroom.
Merchandising Associates/Showroom Coordinators are the backbone of the showroom. They serve both internal and external customers. Keeping the showroom organized and customer-friendly are critical components to our success. Responsibilities:
Maintain all areas of the stockroom and showroom under the direction of the showroom manaager
Assist the showroom manager to support seasonal floor changes, as needed
Operate and maintain all showroom equipment and tools and keep equipment in good working order
Support the sales staff as needed or as directed by management
Execute all activities associated with merchandise shipments
Process all incoming and outgoing packages in a timely manner
Organize showroom supplies, being aware of inventory levels
Process transfers on a timely basis
Maintaining readiness of showroom for appointments, markets, and special events
Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with all showroom associates
Requirements:
High School Diploma or above
Ability to travel to tradeshows
Experience in working with Microsoft Office products
Strong written and verbal communication skills
2-4 years in a retail merchandising or stockroom role
Physical Demands:
Must be able to maintain standing position up to 70% of the workday
Must possess the ability to kneel, bend, stoop and reach regularly
Must be able to regularly lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Ability to meet the needs in the position’s physical demands summary
Salary range: $21-23/hour commensurate with experience
