Wholesale Customer Service Representative

Place Showroom, a Wholesale Contemporary Women's Apparel Showroom, is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative.


The Customer Service Representative is the key liaison between our brands and the Place team in all aspects of operations and customer service. This person plays an integral part in coordinating, streamlining, and communicating information to and from the brands, such as order submission, updates, and status of shipments. It is expected to proactively identify opportunities for enhancing business and operational efficiency while ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organization. This position is primarily focused on systems and processes while providing excellent customer service to our brands. 


The Customer Service Rep must be detail orientated, efficient with systems and have a bias for action with their primary goal to support sales in getting orders placed and shipped. This person must be a strong cross functional collaborator and work with urgency to communicate changes between brands, sales and our accounts.


Responsibilities
  • Brand Rep: Primary brand contact for daily operational needs including sending and confirming orders, enforcing brand policies, supporting with customer concerns and RAs, assisting with opening and close of a sell, being aware of any changes or updates to POs and knowing status of all orders.
  • Internal Order Communication: Streamline and facilitate communication to and from the brand with Place teams for operational items. Ensure internal teams are aware of changes to orders and order status to be reviewed and actioned such as extensions, drops, etc. Support in gathering and condensing information to send back to the brands where applicable.  
  • Reporting & System Integrity: Maintain complete order accuracy in Place systems when entering orders ensuring coding, invoices, etc. are updated as needed. Follow up on any missing information from Place or the brand and hold brand accountable for providing all required detail, reporting etc.
  • Cross Functional Partnership: Partner with and support other Place departments, such as finance on invoices and commissions and merchandising for seasonal launches.
  • Brand Support: Ensure effective communication and partnership with brands by having consistent check ins ensuring processes are followed and updated as needed, providing feedback, training, and support.

  • Exercises excellent judgment when decision making; sets example for others
  • Must be proficient in Excel, LOOKUP’s and pivot tables preferred
  • Must be able to learn on the spot and take notes to ensure information is retained
  • Detail oriented, adaptability and critical thinking
  •  May be asked to occasionally travel to tradeshows


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Salary range: $24-27/hour commensurate with experience
