Job Type:Regular Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada.On average, Plains handles more than 6 million barrels per day of crude oil and NGL in its Transportation segment. Additionally, this position comes with the option of a hybrid work schedule, combining working in our Houston office with working remotely.Job Purpose/Summary The Communications Senior Analyst is a critical member of Plains’ Employee Communications team, which is responsible for developing and executing North American internal communications.The Communications Senior Analyst will focus on cross-functional, internal collaboration to develop effective internal communication strategies. This includes (i) providing tailored communications support to key internal customers (ii) helping to define and facilitate communications best practices across the organization, (iii) driving consistent messaging themes across the organization. As a member of the Employee Communications team, the Communication Senior Analyst will achieve their aims by (i) building relationships, (ii) developing subject matter fluency and embedding in internal customers’ annual planning, and (iii) guiding development and and execution of annual communication plans.The Employee Communications team collaborates with a broader group of colleagues from across the organization who are responsible for representing Plains internally and externally to numerous audiences across a variety of communication channels. This broader group is comprised of dynamic, high-performing individuals from diverse professional backgrounds — with representatives in both the US and Canada — who are highly-integrated with company leadership and visible throughout the organization.Collectively, we share a unified vision to develop and deliver compelling messaging to help stakeholders understand the role, value and long-range potential of our employees, business and industry in today’s evolving energy landscape.Job Responsibilities Understand the business fundamentals, vision, strategy, culture and long-term goals that inform Plains’ approach to employee engagement, and help position the company to advance its objective to become the Employer, Partner and Investment of Choice Create clear, persuasive multi-year, multi-channel communicationsBuild strong relationships with peers and senior leaders to understand priorities and help craft messages that support achieve business objectives and engage employeesSupport executive communications including company and department-wide meetings and other messages spanning a diversity of channelsCollaborate with change management practitioners on tactics that align with existing corporate communications approach Support the effective cascade of information throughout the organization, with a focus on tailoring messages for the relevant audiencesPartner with Employee Communications colleagues and teammates from other key functions to align messaging across channels and audiencesHelp define and promote the adoption of internal communications best practices across the organizationAssess and improve communications processes and systems on an ongoing basis As needed in the event of an incident, support crisis communications needsExperience Required Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in Communications or a related discipline, and a minimum of 7 years prior related experience Expertise in the Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel Experience in working with organizational leaders on company-wide communicationsExperience with video production and graphic design preferredKnowledge & Skills Communications expertise including excellent writing, editing and speaking skillsAbility to persuasively communicate complex concepts concisely and effectivelyAbility to deliver high-quality results quickly while working under pressureAbility to balance multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersAbility to quickly evaluate situations, determine key issues, recommend solutions and/or responses, and implement the approved course of actionStrong work ethic and keen attention to detail Highest standard of personal and…
