As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Irvine, in this onsite role.


The Role  
  • A Senior Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of more complex and multi-disciplinary projects to schedule, budget and scope as negotiated with the client and is responsible for overseeing the successful integration of a product into manufacturing, so it achieves the expected commercial and customer outcomes.
  • The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for guiding multiple or large-scale teams (>10 people) and 3 to 4 projects at a time ensuring the successful delivery of a project as per the requirements of the client and for contributing to the execution of short to mid-term product manufacturing strategy.


The Accountabilities
  • Responsible for delivery of project to schedule, budget and scope, maintaining project profitability.
  • Undertake regular project reporting, anticipate risks and communicate project progress (schedule, budget, risk and activities) to client and internal teams.
  • Ensures all project documentation and communication to client is of the high-quality standard required.

  • Technical bridge for projects transferring from design to manufacturing.
  • Identifies and seeks guidance from Program Manager regarding project related risks and issues (project expenditure, resource, schedule etc.)
  • Identifies and adjusts project schedule to meet changing project objectives, in consultation with Program Manager.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, assess and mitigate project risks and opportunities with client approval.
  • Manage and adjust staffing plans to meet changing project objectives, project schedule and/or internal project and people demand.
  • Manage task completion with individual project team members ensuring deadlines, outcomes and requirements are met.
  • Lead and motivate the project team to deliver PI business and customer outcomes within scope, clarifying priorities, articulating the client vision and enabling a shared sense of team direction.
  • Provide just in time feedback to project team members and their people leader regarding their achievements and development needs.
  • Seeks out and identifies business and process improvement initiatives within function and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop robust plans and schedules, ensuring project proposals remain up to date and relevant and clients are advised of changes of execution or change in tasks.
  • Provides input into proposals and completes estimation sheets in consultation with Program Manager.
  • Maintains awareness of the commercial success of the product / project outcomes.
  • Other duties as required commensurate with your skills and experience


The Typical Experiences
  • Typically has a minimum of 7 years Project Management leadership and experience (including budget management)
  • Typically has 5-8 years of design engineering experience
  • Experience in delivering smaller projects successfully
  • Experience in product development and medical device experience would be ideal
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Familiarity and compliance with PI policies & procedures and international quality standards e.g. ISO9001:2008 and FDA QSR regulations
  • Adhere to OH&S requirements: Safe use of potentially hazardous equipment, liquids etc.
  • Graduate / Post graduate degrees in engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electronics)


$145,000 - $167,000 a year

Full time employees and dependents are provided with medical coverage, and the company covers 100% of the premium cost.
