SALARY: $55,000-$62,000

POSITION SUMMARY
Primary areas of responsibility to include matching and coding of accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices, entering information in computer system and producing accounts payable checks. Secondarily, performs a variety of tasks related to the revenue management system, the general ledger system and journal entries, including but not limited to, the completion of ledger accounts, supporting schedules, financial statements, and other duties as assigned. Familiar with a variety of the field work concepts, practices, and procedures. Physical requirements include sitting at desk for extended periods of time and extensive data entry into computer.
PRIMARY DUTIES PERFORMED
● Responsible for reconciliation and entering deposits into the accounting system
● Verify and reconcile payments between accounting system and revenue management system
● Assist with the matching and coding of accounts payable invoices, entering information in computer system, producing accounts payable checks, and filing vendor invoices. Produce and file 1099 forms for contracted staff.
● Responsible for fixed asset entry into accounting software and reconciliation.
● Assists in completion of all monthly reports and monthly journal entries
● Assists in completion of worksheets for year-end adjustments
● Assists in preparation of year-end documents for auditors.
● Participate in the affiliate efforts to achieve established productivity and revenue cycle goals.
● Assists in balancing health center income at all locations
● Completes required entries for contracted income and payables
● Assist with the grants management process; including tracking, adjustments, and reporting
● Determine discrepancies and makes corrections as needed in accounting software
● Assist with ad-hoc duties delegated by accounting manager or other department requests
RISK MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
● Protects confidentiality of PPGR clients, donors, board and all areas of operations
● Adherence to PPGR and department policies that ensure for the highest quality and most professional services for PPGR clients
● Protect PPGR’s assets from liability
● Assure the physical safety of PPGR clients and employees
QUALIFICATIONS
● Self-motivated, accurate and detail oriented
● Strong mathematical and ten-key operation skills
● Ability to communicate well with wide variety of people, both coworkers and external contacts. Likes challenging work and enjoys finding more efficient ways of doing jobs and enjoys bringing projects to completion
● Enjoys working in cooperative team
REQUIREMENTS
● Associates degree in area of specialty and/or equivalent level of years of experience in the field or in a related area; bachelor's degree in area of specialty preferred
● 2-3 years prior Accounts Receivable and Payable experience preferred
