As a key figure within Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, the Vice President of Culture and Strategy holds a crucial role in guiding our strategic vision and nurturing a culture defined by inclusivity, innovation, and equity. Reporting directly to the CEO within the office of the CEO, this senior leadership position bears the responsibility of propelling organizational advancement, instigating cultural transformation, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and propelling initiatives for health equity. With a focus on weaving DEI and health equity principles throughout all facets of our organization, the Vice President of Culture and Strategy will spearhead endeavors to both embed these values and unearth business development prospects, thus further amplifying PPLM's mission and influence.


Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Take charge of crafting and executing strategic blueprints and initiatives that propel PPLM's mission and objectives forward, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and expansion.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of strategic initiatives, regularly monitoring progress and making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Cultural Transformation: Drive cultural change initiatives to create an inclusive and equitable work environment where diversity is celebrated, and the dignity and humanity of every person is centered. Ensure that all employees feel valued and empowered, and that everyone who encounters PPLM is treated with care and respect for our shared humanity.   • DEI and Health Equity: Develop and supervise comprehensive strategies aimed at ingraining diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles alongside health equity initiatives into the very fabric of PPLM's operations, programs, and services. Ensure that these principles permeate our policies, practices, and decision-making processes.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analyses and environmental scans to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks that may impact PPLM's operations and strategic objectives.
  • Business Development: Scout out and capitalize on opportunities for revenue enhancement, forging strategic alliances and collaborations that align seamlessly with PPLM's mission and overarching strategic objectives.
  • Organizational Alignment: Ensure equitable alignment and integration of strategic initiatives across all departments and functions, fostering a cohesive and collaborative organizational culture.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate strategic risks and challenges, proactively addressing potential barriers to success and resilience.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide forward-thinking leadership to interdisciplinary teams, nurturing a culture of collaboration, responsibility, and perpetual improvement. Forge close partnerships with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders to propel PPLM to new heights of organizational excellence and influence.
  • Equity and Inclusion Education: Guide regular DEI-focused education initiatives for both staff and board members, fostering a deep, shared commitment to equity and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide forward-thinking leadership to interdisciplinary teams, nurturing a culture of collaboration, responsibility, and perpetual improvement. Forge close partnerships with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders to propel PPLM to new heights of organizational excellence and influence.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred in relevant field (e.g., public health, business administration).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in consulting, strategy development, and organizational culture change, preferably in the healthcare or reproductive rights sector.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a track record of advancing DEI initiatives within complex organizations.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to identify and pursue strategic opportunities for revenue growth and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and foster collaboration.
  • Passion for reproductive health and social justice, with a deep understanding of the political, social, and cultural factors that impact access to healthcare and rights.
  • Experience in mediation and facilitation to support conflict resolution and promote understanding across diverse perspectives.


$155,000 - $175,000 a year

Roles that are denoted as Hybrid require 1 day per week in the office unless the role is denoted as onsite, which requires working onsite full time or 5 days per week.
