The Health Center Manager will establish and maintain a professional, supportive, and caring environment for their health center staff and patients which includes a focus on patient care, efficient operations, staff development, and customer service. They will create and achieve clinical, operational, and financial goals for the health center and support the mission of PPSENFL. The Manager possesses a demonstrated understanding of the role that racial inequity plays in our society and its impact on healthcare systems and institutions, and the ability to relate to and care for diverse populations and communities.
Snapshot of key accountabilities of the Health Center Manager:- Manage health center staff including day-to-day operational leadership, training, development, goal setting and evaluation.
- Be a resource to Health Center Supervisors and Coordinators in the areas of employee relations, billing and insurance, incident and occurrence reporting, complex patient complaints.
- Manage center operations: oversee patient and staff schedules, manage inventory, pro-actively problem-solve, oversee, and troubleshoot patient flow (i.e., family planning visit length of one hour or less; appointment show rate of 70% or higher), comply with organizational quality assurance guidelines and pertinent government regulations including OSHA and CLIA.
- Be an expert in understanding the Master Schedule Template mechanics. This includes monitoring and modifying the schedule template by using HC Supervisor and Patient feedback, scheduling reports (no show, walk in, booking capacity, 3rd available appointment, etc.)
- Complete the monthly health center staffing schedules for all centers; support HC Supervisors in filing unscheduled vacancies as needed.
- Design and provide training to HC and Call Center staff including but not limited to the following areas: billing, insurance processes, policies and procedures, HER/EPM work flow.
Experience and Education:- Bachelors degree with medical management experience preferred, or High school diploma/GED with 2+ years experience working in the medical field.
- 2+ Supervision/management experience preferred.
- You must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, lead and work as a team and effectively motivate a diverse staff. Customer service is key in this role as well as being able to motivate staff to provide the same level of customer service.
Benefits and Compensations:- $70,000.00 per year.
- Eligible for all applicable benefits effective the first of the month following 60 days from your hire date.
- Paid Time Off, accrues immediately but can't be taken until after 90 full days of employment : 3 weeks of paid time off, 10 recognized Holidays in addition to PTO, 1 personal day, and birthday.
