Job Overview:
Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant strives to meet the evolving needs of customers with the latest cutting-edge commercial vehicles. This plant has the capability to manufacture Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles, expanding Navistar's capacity and market share. By utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected production practices, quality and efficiency are improved.
Hours will be 6:30am-3pm Monday thru Friday
No Rotating shifts
Job Responsibilities:
The job expectations include following the Navistar Operating System (NOS), adhering to safety, quality, and standard operating procedures. This includes:
Upholding safe work behavior, using proper safety equipment, and addressing any unsafe or emergency situations
Making sure team members have the necessary PPE, materials, and tools
Ensuring housekeeping and safety standards are met
Cooperating with peers to finish projects and partake in team discussions and meetings
Informing supervisors and peers of accomplishments, downtime issues, and/or changes. Also leading Cost Improvement events and having impact on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
Conducting inspections on products, processes, and materials to make sure work output meets the specifications of the shop floor paperwork
Installing and assembling parts with hand tools, air tools, and/or power tools
Connecting components and equipment according to instructions and specs
Attending to equipment and ensuring proper operation and Total Productive Maintenance
Loading and unloading raw materials and outputs from machines and fixtures
Training peers as needed
Team Leaders must be able to do each job in their area with quality and within the time
Minimum Requirements

Qualified applicants, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment-related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Applicants must have the ability to read, speak and write English at a level that allows them to understand and communicate standard work instructions, job safety requirements and quality documentation in English

Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift):
In the Paint dept, you may be required to wear a respirator and must comply with OSHA requirements for performing the job, including 29 CFR section 1910.134 which requires a respirator fit test, the satisfactory completion of a questionnaire and, if necessary, respiratory medical evaluation in connection with the use of a respirator
