Our team works with acute providers including large hospital health systems as well as small community hospitals. Our acute reimbursement practice assists hospitals with a wide array of services including the filing of their Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports, Medicare DSH optimization, Medicare Wage Index related services, Medical Education reimbursement, and reimbursement optimization strategy. We believe that face-to-face interactions are paramount for individual and collective development, but also encourage individuals to work with their supervisor and team to determine their optimal working environment each day.Your roleYour work will include, but not be limited to:• Prepare, review and analyze Medicare and Medicaid cost reports in accordance with Federal and State regulations• Participate in strategic engagements focused on preparation and analysis of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for acute care clients• Analyze data to optimize various areas of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement• Consult with clients on strategic and operational decisions based on reimbursement implications• Assist clients with financial analysis related to changes in third-party payor reimbursement regulations and new models of careThe Qualifications.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 150 credit hours or Masters in Accounting is highly preferred. CPA is a plus, but not required• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial or cost accounting role, preferably in healthcare• Experience in healthcare reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid and cost reporting is preferred but not required• Strong background in accounting and financial analysis, with the ability to identify variances and identify opportunities to improve processes & procedures• Proficient technical skills, including those required to be proficient with financial accounting and reporting systems and MS Office• Ability to exercise extreme confidentiality and effectively communicate with client personnel• Staff members will be required to have updated immunizations to work onsite at healthcare client sites• Ability to travel approximately 25%Our difference.On the surface, we’re one of the nation’s largest audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firms.
