UCAN Platform Managers are the voice of our brand for millions of followers around the world — their goal is to make titles break through on social, to generate interest and ultimately conversation. They work cross functionally to make our big titles massive and also have the opportunity to turn small titles into huge hits! Their work deepens brand love on a daily basis through title and non-title based content.
We are seeking a highly driven, incredibly conscientious person who surrounds themselves with pop culture, loves testing out new ideas, and is comfortable scrutinizing the performance to ask, “how could this have been even better?” This job will require you to juggle many different kinds of short- and long-term projects. Lead, shape and implement the channel strategy for Netflix US on Twitter and Facebook — candidate will also oversee programming for Netflix Canada channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).

Consistently ideate, create and curate content with a strong point of view and deep knowledge of the Netflix brand personality, using innovative approaches to format, structure and presentation to encourage our followers to engage.

Utilize expertise to represent the brand, speak authentically to the audience, and stay on top of changing trends in the social landscape.

Be experimental with content; take risks with what you’re creating; be ambitious and original. Turn one-off hits into successful repeatable formats.

Use internal and external social analytics and other internal data to inform strategy and detect new opportunities.

Stay on top of trends, timely events, and upcoming title launches to seize on reactive opportunities for the audience.

Work with Title Social Leads to ensure meaningful support for our titles, pre and post-launch

Set channel and platform goals - using data and analytics to keep you and your cross-functional partners accountable

Build and manage an annual budget.

Cultivate an organic relationship with our followers through smart and meaningful community management.

Work with cross functional partners to curate title-specific content and make sure all owned projects (always-on and reactive content) are delivering on time and are creatively sound.

Maintain the daily programming schedule in our proprietary scheduling system.

Serve as one of the final set of eyes on content before it goes out in the world & ensure posting in accurate, timely manner and in the Netflix voice.

Knowledge of what works across various social platforms and experience in multi-channel distribution efforts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience using data and intuition to make content that grabs attention and engages its audience. Strong on social media analytics, but isn’t afraid to take big risks.
