Job Description:
As a Security Engineer, you will perform various security day-to-day activities related to ensuring the security of POR environments. These tasks may include conducting security reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities in software applications, and then working with the responsible teams for full remediation. Other activities may include internal security assessments of 3rd parties, IAM activities, implementation and/or expansion of security tools, reporting findings with remediation recommendations to management, and other tasks assigned by management.
The Security Engineer is expected to have some experience in most of the following key areas:
Application security reviews
Vulnerability management - identify, analyze, mitigate
Threat modeling - identify potential threats, mitigation strategies
Incident response
Projects and research work as needed
Security guidance and documentation
Security tool development
GRC tools - Vanta
Cloud Security - AWS, Azure, GCE, etc.
XDR tools - SentinelOne
Web proxy and WAF - Cloudflare
Log aggregation/SIEM tools
Compliance - GDPR, CCPA, PCI, SOC, etc.
Qualifications:
Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the environment
Working knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (OWASP, ISO27001, etc.)
Written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving skills
Teamwork and collaboration
Continuous learning and adaptability
Preferred Experience:
Security +, CEH, CISSP, or other security certification and relevant experience preferred
Experience with Cloud security technologies preferred
IAM experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time, exempt position with base salary, health benefits, and 401K matching.
Pay Transparency: The base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $99,000 per year. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, experience, and training, skills, licenses and certifications, and education among other factors.
