Sales Development Representative

The Role


Join an early-stage startup and help us revolutionize the cloud FinOps space. You will be a key member of our initial GTM team, focused on generating and nurturing leads for the PointFive platform, targeting large enterprise companies.


We seek a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to drive our lead generation initiatives and expand our global footprint. In addition, we're looking for a highly technical person with an understanding of cloud computing and a passion for building relationships from early prospecting to setting up successful sales engagements. In this pivotal role, you will focus on cultivating lead generation and nurturing processes within the Enterprise sector. Your responsibilities will encompass identifying prospects, engaging with potential customers, and qualifying leads for the sales team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Generate and qualify leads, nurturing them into high-value opportunities.
  • Maintain and update CRM with accurate prospect information.
  • Establish connections and build relationships with potential clients at various levels within large enterprises.
  • Conduct research to identify potential leads and understand their needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and refine lead generation strategies and campaigns and provide regular feedback on outreach effectiveness.
  • Assist in creating sales materials and presentations for lead generation efforts.
  • Work closely with the sales team to hand off qualified leads and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Gather feedback from prospects regarding their experience with PointFive, and identify trends and insights to inform sales strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly goals and key performance indicators.
  • Be pleasantly persistent; follow up on all connections and conversations promptly.
  • Be a genuine, high EQ representation of the company.


Qualifications


  • 2-4 years experience in lead generation or sales development roles in B2B SaaS, Cybersecurity, or Cloud Computing.
  • Technical background, with exposure to services and products on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (cloud practitioner certifications are a plus).
  • Experience with enterprise lead generation processes.
  • Experience engaging with technical personas and understanding their challenges.
  • Network and relationships with large enterprise companies are a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding lead generation quotas.
  • Own your pipeline: maintain detailed records of all interactions and follow-up activities in CRM.
  • A highly organized, detail-oriented, and data-driven individual with a bias for action.
  • Polished and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on written English.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving team environment.
