POLITICO is looking for an eager and driven intern to join our Finance team. The intern will be responsible for supporting our Accounts Receivable and Billing teams and will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you are interested in pursuing a career in Finance, we would like to hear from you!Duration: One yearStart date: ASAP (August or September 2024)Hours: 10-20 hours/week (potential to fluctuate hours over time)What You'll Do:• Work on Salesforce CRM interface to generate and revise sales invoices• Generate financial reports to identify discrepancies and gaps in data and records• Assist with month-end Advertisement revenue close process• Interact and collaborate with clients/vendors to handle inquiries, payments, and statements• Customer invoicing, cash application, and discrepancy research• Support AR Collection efforts by following up via email communication with clients to ensure payments is collected for subscriptions services• Update Collections Notes to indicate the ongoing communication to receipt of payment• Supporting the team by submitting sales invoices via vendor portals with high level of accuracy and consistent with client requirementsWhat You'll Need:• We're looking for a rising college junior or senior pursuing a degree in accounting, business or finance• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines• Willingness to learn• Enjoys a fast-paced environment• Ability to work independentlyApplication Instructions:• Please submit a copy of your resume, cover letter, and two referencesWe are driven by our values.
