Associate Product Manager

Poll Everywhere is seeking an Associate Product Manager to manage the planning and day-to-day execution of our web product. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delighting customers through product enhancement and will be focused on execution and delivery.


Our web team is responsible for Poll Everywhere’s core web product and one Android and two iOS mobile apps. While delivering fast, high-quality products are the team’s focus, the team deeply values interpersonal connection and support. With Agile and Scrum as a foundation, opportunities for professional, personal, and interpersonal growth are baked into the software development processes on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.


Poll Everywhere is a web-based tool that allows presenters to create engaging polls to connect with an audience in real-time. Product at Poll Everywhere is centered around 5 Product Principles: Accessibility, Aesthetics, Innovation, Quality, and Usability. Our product team uses these pillars to stay focused on meaningful outcomes for our business.


Your Impact
  • Build a product in partnership with design, engineering, and QA that delights users, acquires customers, and retains them.
  • Responsible for project delivery and quality, measured by meeting timelines, timeliness of escalation, and reception of features delivered.
  • Provide internal support and proactively identify product interdependencies across increasingly wide swaths of the product.


Own Your Achievements
  • Support the day-to-day operations of our web team to keep quality, communication, and timely delivery on point.
  • Define & document requirements for a dedicated working team (design, engineering, QA), including clear & specific user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Create, monitor, and adapt project timelines, escalating concerns when delivery is at risk.
  • Lead all sprint ceremonies from a product and project perspective.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (business & engineering) to understand broad business goals and specific project objectives.
  • Partner with UX to build intuitive solutions that exceed user expectations and help grow our business.
  • Partner with marketing to define go-to-market plans for releases, including internal and external communication.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and participate in release activities.
  • Conduct post-launch analysis and share results and related recommendations.
  • Maintain and prioritize a backlog of quality-related issues with guidance and input from internal stakeholders.
  • Review incoming bugs from QA and enhancement requests from customers to organize the backlog and escalate tickets when needed.


Spearhead Strategic Initiatives
  • Gather metrics and support quarterly business reviews related to the web team product area.
  • Support quarterly roadmap planning sessions by providing feedback on timelines, roadblocks, and input on potential product enhancements.


Keys to Your Success
  • Experience. 1-2 years of experience in a Product Management role and have shipped at least 1 major feature to customers.
  • Execution Mindset. You understand the order, can execute the steps, and can remove blockers as needed to deliver a project from end-to-end.
  • A critical thinker. You root out ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and remove any roadblocks for your team.
  • A responsible prioritizer. You’re comfortable prioritizing and finding dependencies across disparate requests that fall under your product domain.
  • A mediator and communicator. You can effectively prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholders and communicate in a way that gets heard.
  • Customer empathy. Your deep empathy for customers provides the foresight to develop comprehensive requirements that predict and exceed their expectations.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulation of customer problems.
  • Data-oriented. You value data-driven decision making and wherever possible validate your intuitions against data.


Additional Strengths We Appreciate
  • Higher ed sector experience. You have experience in higher education as a teaching assistant, professor, or technology support team member.
  • Agile experience. You value and have experience working in an Agile environment that balances the need for long-term planning with constant adaptation to change.


$90,000 - $110,000 a year
At Poll Everywhere we offer a comprehensive reward and cash compensation package. Our total rewards package includes medical, dental, and vision benefits - We cover 100% of your premiums for the base plan and 50% for dependents’ medical enrollment. We offer PPO medical, dental, and vision plans and an HSA/FSA. Up to a $100 monthly company match to your Health Care FSA or HSA account.

A PollEvian’s total cash compensation package is composed of two parts: a base salary and a potential end-of-year bonus of up to 8% that is dependent on company performance on top of the base salary. Our salary ranges take into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the breadth and number of direct years of experience for the role we are hiring for within the SaaS industry, based on our company size. All salaries at Poll Everywhere also have a geographic differential associated with the resident location at which the position may be filled.

The hiring salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 annually in most geographic locations across the United States. At the time of your initial call with our talent team please be ready to confirm your current residential location.
