Porter Expectations:
Perform day-to-day cleanliness, maintenance and sanitation standards at the restaurant. Overall duties include maintaining common room areas, wash and clean pots, pans, crates and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room, bathrooms, kitchen and prep area and equipment clean and organized.
- Load, run and unload dish machine.
- Keep the dish machine & sinks clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
- Monitor dish machine & sink water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
- Wash and store all kitchenware, baskets and crates. Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. Properly label, replenish and store chemicals.
- Put away delivery or orders as assigned
- Ensure refrigerators and freezers are clean, organized and well-maintained
- Use the proper chemicals for each job while maintain safety for yourself and those around you.
- Keep dish room & storage clean and organized.
- Maintain adequate levels of clean small wares, equipment and tools in the bakery and kitchen.
- Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
- Clean food preparation facility clean and organized by following cleaning checklists, cleaning equipment, cleaning bathrooms, trash removal, and detail cleaning as necessary;
- Assist with basic food preparation according to the checklist and prep sheets.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.
Porter Requirements:
- Restaurant business needs varies and flexibility in schedule with the ability to work early mornings, weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime is required.
