Who are we?

We are a Captiv Global Engineering Center of Atlas Copco Group supporting to various Business verticals, Divisions, Product Companies and Customer Centers across globe. We are Data Analytics Competence under Digital Technology Practice of this Global Engineering Center. We need Power BI Developer to support Sourcing and Logistics Domain of CTIS Data Domain Team of Belgium.The Data Domain is responsible for establishing, consolidating, and unifying data and analytics services across the business area of Compressor Technique within Atlas Copco. We strive to become the business partner for trusted, transparent, and robust enterprise data to enable data driven decision making. What are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate and committed Power BI front-end developer to join Data Analytics Competence of GECIA to support in Engineering & Manufacturing Data Domain team of CTIS Data Domain Team. As a Power BI developer, you will be part of a team of the members of the engineering and manufacturing data domain team who are continuously delivering valuable services to the Compressor Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco. You will work together with product owners and data engineers. You are responsible for the Power BI front-end design, development, and delivery for highly visible data-driven applications in Atlas Copco Compressor Technique. You always take a quality-first approach where you ensure the data is visualized in a clear, accurate and user-friendly manner. You ensure standards and best practices are followed and ensure documentation is created and maintained. Where needed, you take initiative and make recommendations to drive improvements.

In this role you will also be involved in the tracking, monitoring and performance analysis of production issues and the implementation of bugfixes and enhancements.

Functionally you will report to the Data Domain Product Owner. For administrative purpose, you will report to Team Leader in Data Anlytics Competence of GECIA.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Stakeholder management:

• You can discuss with stakeholders about their requirements and clearly communicate back your understanding of the requirements.
• You can work with the stakeholders to understand the big picture and work towards it
• Educate users in regard to the functionalities provided and train them in using the visualization tool efficiently
• Work with team members and other users from the organization at different levels for performance improvement and suggestions

Reporting and Visualization:

• Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
• Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
• Analyze data and present data through reports that aid decision-making
• Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
• Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
• Analyze current ETL process, define and design new systems
• Promote the use of standard Microsoft visualizations

Skills and Experience

• The ideal candidate has a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business economics or equal through experience.
• Strong knowledge on BI development principles, time intelligence functions, dimensional modelling and data visualization is required.
• You are a Power BI front-end developer that can develop performant data sets and appealing, insightful visualizations.
• Advanced knowledge and minimum 5 years’ experience with professional BI development & data visualization is preferred.
• Knowledge on MS Azure (data lake, databricks) is considered as a plus.
• You are experienced in data modelling and custom calculations.
• You are able to create complex visuals and KPI charts that are used on enterprise level.
• You have a good understanding of data warehousing and relational database concepts & technologies.
• Experience and knowledge on scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python to setup and automate Power BI platform related activities is an asset.
• Excellent knowledge (oral and written) of English is required.
