The Headlines:
In the role of Engine Room Operator working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, you will be part of the Utilities Asset Care team. You will be responsible for performing safe operations of all Ammonia Refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assure there is a consistent supply of utilities to the brewery.
This position reports to Sr. Process Leader-Utilities and the pay are $34.05/hour.
This position is a swing shift role, so the position will rotate between first, second, and third shifts on a weekly basis:
1st Shift- 6:30am-2:30pm Saturday through Friday(Saturday, Sunday, Monday off)
3rd Shift- 10:30pm-6:30am Tuesday through Monday(Tuesday, Wednesday off)
2nd Shift- 2:30pm-10:30pm Thursday through Wednesday(Thursday, Friday off)
The Responsibilities:
- Operate and control utility panels that monitor equipment to maintain utility services to the Brewery.
- Fill out incident reports for all ammonia releases.
- Follow all Ammonia Emergency Procedures as prescribed by OSHA PSM Program.
- Maintain and record entries in logbooks, operating logs, and regulatory reports.
- Enter Work Order Request for all maintenance needs.
- Contact WE Energies to investigate and log reasons for power outages.
- Operate and control all operations associated with the synchronizing panel, 26,000-volt power distribution and secondary feed to primary substations.
- Operate and control air compressors in an efficient manner without interruptions to production.
- Operate and control all ammonia compressors and condensers in an efficient manner without interruptions to production.
- Operate, controls, and analyzes problems in the CO2 collection, purification, liquefied, reclaim and distribution systems.
- Operate and control the Marley cooling system.
- Monitor and control the hot water systems.
- Perform valve alignment on outside CO2 storage tanks.
- Lubricate all operating equipment.
The Other Qualifications:
- You have a high school diploma and are at least 21 years old.
- Maintains current permit to operate with the City of Milwaukee
- Maintains current 2nd Class licensing, with the National Institute of The Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers –OR- American Society of Power Engineers, Power Plant Operating Engineer 2nd Class, to operate of Boilers and Turbines.
- Walk at length throughout the Brewery everyday
- Bend, squat, sit, and climb steps
- Safely move full chemical containers and lift 50-pound bags of salt
- Lift, push, and or pull 50 pounds properly.
- Work in a hot and noisy environment and in a cold refrigerated area, including outside areas during winter months
