Category Associate

As a Category Associate in the Procurement organization, you will directly collaborate with PPG Global and Regional Category Managers to manage suppliers, secure bids, and source raw materials. This job is onsite, located at our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will report to a Senior Category Manager in the Americas Region.Key Responsibilities:· Execute defined procurement strategy for outlined suppliers within a raw material category in the Americas region.· Manage assigned supplier base and relationships to the benefit of PPG shareholders.· Work cross functionally with supply chain, operations, and business to achieve KPIs.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in chemistry related field or business· Comfortable managing commercial relationships and negotiations while establishing performance agreements, contracts, and resolving issues.· Data analysis and critical thinking skillsPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
