Pre-Sales Engineer - Automotive

About the Role:

The Pre-Sales Engineer provides the sales team in-depth knowledge of the technical requirements and business use of our products in order to close ERP sales opportunities.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare for and conduct software demonstrations along with Sales team.
• Provide needed business expertise in such processes as manufacturing, distribution, accounting and reporting

• Consult with sales force to provide solutions to customer requirements
• Act as a liaison with the Product Managers to discuss potential product development
• Conduct customer and prospect webinars
• 25% travel, domestic

What You Need to Succeed:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience of presales within the ERP industry or equivalent operational ERP experience. This would include CMS, EDI or Automotive and is required.
• Background of success in supporting both direct and channel sales
• Documented experience of giving customer presentations / demonstrations
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

• Experience in the manufacturing industry, with a particular emphasis on automotive tier 1 and tier 2 part manufacturers
• Knowledge of Repetitive Production Scheduling, Automotive EDI, Machine Integration, Touchscreen Production Interfaces, Line-side Labeling, embedded Radio Frequency capabilities and Supplier Portals
• Successful candidates may have worked for companies such as: SAP, QAD, Infor, Plex Systems, NetSuite or other ERP companies or Value Added Resellers (VARs)
