Prelude is a technology company that helps organizations proactively ask questions of their security systems to know if their defenses are protecting them from the latest threats. Role

Prelude is seeking a senior Backend Engineer capable of taking our product to the next level. This person will be responsible for working alongside a small software development team building client-and-server side applications in various languages (python, typescript, golang, swift). Our next Backend Engineer will primarily be working directly on our Detect product, and connected components.

Job duties

• Develop and maintain code, integrating software components into Prelude’s advanced security products

• Assist with architecture design and development

• Analyze and provide evaluation of development cycle performance

• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy processes and tools

• Handle the nuances of developing against a custom command-and-control (C2) center

• Assist with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

• Participate in process reviews and provide guidance to less experienced employees

• Contribute to proposals when needed, including performing and documenting results, and aiding technology transfer into programs

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years software engineering experience in a modern stack, Python preferred

• Experience designing and developing scalable and reliable systems

• Experience working in a startup environment

• Interest in working in a cybersecurity company or alongside a security team
