Shift: M-F 8a-5p


The MetroHealth System is redefining health care by going beyond medical treatment to improve the foundations of community health and well-being: affordable housing, a cleaner environment, economic opportunity and access to fresh food, convenient transportation, legal help and other services. The system strives to become as good at preventing disease as it is at treating it. Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.


S ummary:

Provides vision, innovative leadership, and strategic, operational, and financial oversight for the Institute for H.O.P.E.TM at The MetroHealth System (MHS). Develops and implements the strategic vision for addressing the structural and social drivers of health (SDOOH) for patients and communities in which MetroHealth serves. Leads the growth of strategic programs, drives continuous improvement and operational excellence within the Institute for H.O.P.E.TM. Cultivates partnerships to establish MHS as the region’s leading healthcare provider in structural and social drivers of health for research, clinical interventions, and community initiatives. As a member of the Population Health Innovation Institute leadership team, participates in institutional planning, policy development, and problem resolution. Serves as ambassador for MHS and builds positive community relationships. Advances the organization’s position with relevant constituents, as well as drives broader awareness and support for MHS. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.


Qualifications:
Required:
Master’s degree, Business Administration, Communications, preferably in Public Administration, or a related field with focus on fundraising or non-profit management, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
Success in creating interventions and initiatives in structural and social determinants of health.
Seven to Ten years’ experience in leadership positions a large complex health care organization with a track record that demonstrates the ability to produce results.
Management-level experience in effectively building high performing teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with Board members, senior management, physicians, community leaders, donors, volunteers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong critical thinking, business planning and project management skills necessary.
Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
Understanding of budgeting and nonprofit fiscal management.

Preferred:
Clinical degree (e.g., RN, MSN, MD).
